However, fishing for steelhead in some of BC’s most famous rivers is a totally different game. If you go during the right time of year with a good guide and boat your possibilities of success will multiply. This is not to mention the fantastic fishing chinook, coho, chum, sockeye and pink salmon that run up the same rivers. Of all the steelhead and salmon rivers in Canada, the Skeena River is undoubtedly the king. Among its tributaries it boasts some of the best steelhead rivers in the world. These include the legendary Babine River, the Sustut, the Kispiox, the Copper, Kitsumkalum, the Bulkley, and the Maurice. To reach these rivers returning steelhead and salmon must run up the Skeena. In essence the Skeena is a super highway for these fish returning to their natal waters to spawn. As a result virtually year round you will find one or another anadramous fish in the Skeena.

<Despite its size the Skeena curiously the Skeena is not a river that requires huge casts to cover adequately. For fly fishing if you are a good caster even a one hand rod is sufficient. Much of the Skeena's edges consist of regular gravel bottoms with modest gradients easily waded. And mostof the steelhead and salmon that run the river tend to swim up the shallower water nearer the shores in order to stay out of reach of the seals that will often pursue them well up river.

The Skeena offers interesting opportunities for fishing throughout the year.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_tabs admin_label="Pestañas" active_tab_background_color="#2ea3f2" inactive_tab_background_color="#033e63" tab_text_color="#ffffff" background_color="#e5ecff" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid" saved_tabs="all"]

[et_pb_tab title="Equipos Sugeridos" tab_font_select="default" body_font_select="default" tab_font="||||" tab_line_height="2em" tab_line_height_tablet="2em" tab_line_height_phone="2em" body_font="||||" body_line_height="2em" body_line_height_tablet="2em" body_line_height_phone="2em"]
