An average fish will run about 9 or 10 lbs, but 20+ lb fish are not at all uncommon. We work with various excellent lodges the fish here.

Tierra del Fuego’s Rio Grande is probably the best place in the world to catch a trophy size sea-run brown trout. However, if you are looking for some added fun, the Chilean side of the island also offers incredible fly fishing for resident trout in other rivers and lakes.<\/p>\n

It is undoubtedly one of the best rivers in the country to fly fish for large sea-run brown trout. The average size of the seatrout here is about 7 or 8 pounds, but fish in the 10 to 20 lb range are not uncommon.

In addition to being one of Iceland’s most productive salmon rivers Lac\u00e1 in Kjos also offers excellent fishing for seatrout. From early August through all of September the river receives an healthy run of sea-run brown trout averaging around 5 lbs. \u00a0<\/p>\n
